Villa gardens in Khalidiya

Building villa gardens in Khalidiya requires soil preparation that withstands high heat, humidity and soil salinity. We set the base, install irrigation and lighting systems, then select plants and pavements suited to the climate.

What sets this area apart

Khalidiya villas sit on medium plots ranging 600 to 1200 square metres, most built in the 1980s and 1990s with limited front and rear garden spaces. The native soil is sandy and saline, so organic amendments and drainage layers must be added before planting, and drip irrigation systems installed to manage water use. Concrete surfaces and pavement are prone to thermal expansion and seasonal moisture stress, so we choose salt-resistant materials and install regular expansion joints.

Khalidiya lies in the Capital governorate, where relatively older residential villas sit on limited plots near Khalidiya Park.

We rely on drip irrigation systems to reduce water consumption on the sandy saline soil.

Questions about Villa gardens in Khalidiya

Call now
How do we improve the sandy saline soil before planting the garden?

We add layers of organic compost, fine sand and imported amended soil, then install a gravel drainage layer to prevent salt and water buildup. We then test pH and salinity before planting begins.

Can concrete flooring be used in a villa garden with temperature fluctuations?

Yes, but we use salt-resistant concrete and leave expansion joints between slabs every metre or so to accommodate seasonal thermal movement.
