What sets this area apart

Taima is a desert-edge area with detached villas and large gardens on relatively spacious plots and pure sandy soil with poor moisture retention. Planting here relies on selecting native species like arfaj, sidr and palms, and digging deep holes to anchor roots. Limited irrigation systems and regular maintenance checks for water stress are essential because distances between villas make direct supervision difficult.

Taima lies in Jahra governorate, a residential area at the desert edge with pure sandy land.

Native desert plants require an establishment period of 6 to 8 weeks before supplemental irrigation is reduced.

Questions about Landscaping in Taima

Call now
Can non-native trees and flowers be planted in Taima or only desert plants?

Non-native species can be planted but require greater investment in soil amendment, regular irrigation and maintenance. Native desert plants are cheaper, easier and consume less water.

How do you anchor large trees in soft sandy soil?

We dig deep holes 1.5 to 2 metres down and fill them with a mix of compost, compacted sand and large stones to anchor roots. We may also use temporary wooden stakes to support the trunk in the first year.
