What sets this area apart

Most housing units in Hawalli were built thirty years or more ago, with small kitchens relying on a single window for natural ventilation, old ceramic flooring and drainage pipes buried under the slab. During renovation we raise the floor slightly to reach the pipes without cracking the structure, and install modern electric extraction fans because natural ventilation alone is insufficient. Cabinetry is custom-made to local measurements, as kitchen dimensions do not match international standards.

Hawalli sits in Hawalli governorate and comprises older apartment blocks and small villas with cramped kitchens needing replanning.

Drainage pipes in most older kitchen slabs are buried at least ten centimetres below floor level.

Questions about Kitchen renovation in Hawalli

Call now
Can a cramped kitchen in an older apartment be widened?

Yes, but carefully. We first survey the surrounding walls to confirm they are not load-bearing, then remove non-structural partitions. If the walls are load-bearing we redesign with horizontal cabinetry and equipment instead of expanding.

How do you handle drainage pipes buried under the old floor slab?

We raise the floor slightly using isolation layer and screed to access pipes from above, avoiding any breaking of the slab. Then we install new flooring in modern moisture-resistant materials rated for daily kitchen use.
