What sets this area apart

Qaisariya houses are typically old detached single or two-storey buildings on deep, wide plots away from main roads. Foundations are usually simple and shallow on wet clay soil, walls are kiln brick or local stone without modern insulation. Roofs are exposed concrete that crack quickly from large daily temperature swings. Soil moisture and salinity cause rapid degradation of bases and lower walls. In renovation, we deeply inspect soil and foundation, add complete moisture barriers from below, rebuild walls with modern materials and effective insulation, and install a new roof with full protective layers.

Qaisariya is in Jahra governorate, a district of wide rural holdings on wet, saline soil with isolated old buildings.

Most shallow foundations in this area settle at 2 to 3 centimetres annually due to compression of wet clay soil.

Questions about House renovation in Qaisariya

Call now
How do you treat lower wall degradation from salinity and moisture?

We remove degraded layers, test salinity depth, clean walls with sandblasting, then apply a chemical waterproof layer and horizontal 200-micron polyethylene barrier before rebuilding.

Can the floor level be raised to prevent water seepage from the ground?

Yes, but it requires redesigning site drainage around the building. We raise the floor 30 to 60 centimetres, create proper slope for drainage away from the foundation, and relocate any existing utilities before raising.
