What sets this area apart

Nuqra is a transitional zone between single villas and low-rise apartment blocks, mostly built in the 1960s and 1970s on very tight plots. Villas here are usually compact with no large gardens, and the few buildings have small flats. Renovation requires care with shallow foundations and party walls between properties, plus separation of electrical, water and sewage lines for different units. We also check for leaks from flat roofs and condensation in shared old drainage pipes that are often very aged.

Nuqra sits in Hawalli governorate near Salmiya, a high-density built area with old villas and apartment blocks.

Nuqra's narrow plots require explicit municipality approval before any horizontal expansion or floor addition.

Questions about House renovation in Nuqra

Call now
How do you handle a shared wall between two villas during renovation?

We need the neighbour's written approval first. We inspect the wall from both sides, check for damp and cracks, then treat it with insulation and paint on both sides without altering the wall thickness itself.

Can an old Nuqra villa be split into two flats?

Yes, but requires a municipality-approved drawing showing the separation, entrance and separate services. We divide electrical, water and sewage lines for each unit with independent meters, and arrange stairs and entrances per Kuwait building code.
